Spinal Tap are Back Back Back

To celebrate the 25th anniversay of the documentary that rocketed them to fame, Spinal Tap have announced the dates of their World Tour:

June 30th 2009 - Wembley Arena, London.

Commenting on the rather sparse schedule, the band's guitarist Nigel Tufnel told reporters, "If we're going to do a world tour on only one night, at least it's this world".  Derek Smalls added, "one night is not enough, and it's way too much".

Spinal Tap are currently touring the US with an unplugged set which, given their history of accidents on stage, is probably wise.  Singer David St Hubbins paid tribute to previous band members, "This show will be dedicated to all of our drummers who have passed on, either to their reward or to middle management at Sainsbury's".

Tickets go on sale on April 9th.
